Dr. Dre Fronts Forbes' Top Musicians List with $110 Million

Thanks largely to his highly successful headphone line, Dr. Dre topped Forbes? highest paid musician list for 2012.

The Beats by Dre creator raked in a whopping $110 million over the year after cell phone creator HTC paid the star $300 million for a 51-percent stake in his company.

?The brands are so aligned, Dre and Beats, it?s just who he is,? says Kevin Liles, former president of Def Jam Recordings ?If you look at the biggest earners, the guys have been doing it for 20 years ? what?s happening now is people are really telling their truth.?

Also joining Dre in the top ten were Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.

Rihanna also made a mark in the ranks, bringing in an estimated $53 million, while Lady Gaga scored around $52 million from May 2011 to May 2012.
