Final negotiations are in the works as Rooney Mara appears to be joining the new Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman flick.
The ?Girl With the Dragon Tattoo? actress will be replacing Carey Mulligan since apparently she had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
Miss Mara will star opposite Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, and Samantha Morton in the new film that centers around a man who ?falls in love with the voice of a computer,? according to Variety.
The 27-year-old actress is currently working on ?The Bitter Pill? in New York City, where she stars opposite of Jude Law and Channing Tatum.
